Dora Bratchkova

Dora Bratchkova is Professor at the Musikhochschule Mannheim and First Concertmaster of the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Saarbrücken Kaiserslautern. After stydying with Boian Letschev, a pupil of David Oistrakh, she won prizes at prestigious competitions, including the Bach Competition in Leipzig, the Curci Competition in Naples and the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow.
She was Professor at the Sofia Conservatory and Primary of the Bulgarian Sliven Quartet. He regularly teaches violin and chamber music in various advanced courses.
In concert tours throughout Europe, she appears as a soloist and chamber musician. She works with renowned conductors such as Stanislaw Skrowaczewski, Marcello Viotti, Emmanuel Krivine and others.
Her CDs with works of Dietrich, Gade, Kuhlau, Paganini, Rolla, Sinding, Stahmer and Stravinsky can be found at the cpo, Dynamik and Koch International labels.
